Terms of Service

By accessing or using Private Opinions (“the Platform”), operated by The Quiet Menu, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

Private Opinions is a platform that enables creators to build and operate private, expert-led review communities. Creators publish reviews, manage memberships, and accept payments from members through the Platform. The Quiet Menu provides the technology infrastructure and payment facilitation.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.

Creators who operate communities on the Platform agree to:

• Complete Stripe Express onboarding to receive payments
• Provide accurate business information to Stripe
• Publish only content they have the right to distribute and that complies with applicable laws
• Not use the Platform to facilitate illegal activity, fraud, or harassment
• Comply with Stripe’s Services Agreement and Connected Account Agreement

Members may subscribe to community tiers set by each creator. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the price displayed at checkout. Prices are set by creators and may change; you will be notified before any price increase takes effect.

Creators pay the Platform a monthly subscription fee for their selected plan (Starter, Growth, or Pro). The Platform also collects a percentage-based fee on member subscription revenue as disclosed on the pricing page. All payment processing is handled by Stripe. The Platform does not store credit card numbers.

Creators retain ownership of all content they publish on the Platform. Members retain ownership of content they contribute (journal entries, lounge posts, reviews). By posting content, you grant The Quiet Menu a limited license to display and distribute that content within the Platform as necessary to operate the service.

The Quiet Menu retains all rights to the Platform’s software, design, branding, and technology.

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Quiet Menu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease, but obligations regarding payments already made or owed will survive.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
